Bryony Cooper is the Executive Manager of the City of Sydney’s Access and Transport Unit, responsible for transport policy development, transport planning and the promotion of walking and cycling. The unit works closely with internal and external stakeholders to realise an accessible city which offers high levels of mobility and amenity.

Bryony has some 25 years experience in multi-modal transport planning, predominantly focused on large and complex urban areas, recognising the fundamental need to consider both land use and transport together to effect sustainable and liveable cities. Bryony’s work has included strategic urban planning, major transit infrastructure development, behavioural programs and project implementation. She understands the importance of sound planning and defensible decision making at a strategic level for successful project implementation in line with objectives.
