International case studies in harbor city marketing at 2016 GHCF

Kaohsiung’s unique harbor city charm favored by the nature is consists of mountain, ocean, river and harbor. With such abundance in resources as the perfect tool for marketing of the city, tourism events increased steadily. A combination of ocean and harbor elements can be seen through events such as, the “Dragon Boat Race”, “Lantern Festival”, “Kaohsiung International Container Arts Festival”, as well as the “Cijin Black Sand Play and Arts Festival”. These are excellent examples representing Kaohsiung’s growing power in business opportunities with tourism.

2016 Global Harbor Cities Forum will be held on September 6-8. Topics will cover city marketing and branding, tourism event management and city development by representatives from Hawaii, Da Nang Vietnam, Osaka Japan based on their practice and experience.
